Perfectly Grilled Salmon

Salmon, is by far one of my favorite meals.  I'm always looking for an interesting marinade and this recipe is a combination of a few.  I found the main recipe from pinterest and then added a few items from one my own marinades.  I love a little bit of sweetness, which comes from the honey and brown sugar and then the savory notes come from the balsamic vinegar.  You will love it!

For 4 salmon filets.

  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 6 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1/3 c tablespoons honey
  • 3 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
Mix all this deliciousness together and pour it over your salmon.  Most people say to marinade for at least 8 hours, but I did mine for 3 hours and it was perfectly fine.

Throw your salmon on the grill (do not flip it, it will cook all the way through if you just leave it alone).  I normally keep mine on for about about ten minutes, but if you like your salmon more well done, then I would say to grill it for closer to 15 minutes.

Finish it off with some grilled veggies and here you go!
